1st Annual Columbus Day Tournament

This tournament is a USA HOCKEY sanctioned event. USA number pending. All teams and coaches must be USA HOCKEY certified. 

The tournament is $1200 per team. Team fees are due September 1, 2013. 4 games minimum.

The Columbus in Columbus Tournament will have a minimum of 4 teams per division. There is a four game guarantee. Squirt and Peewee games will consist of three (3) 13-minute stop clock periods, with a curfew of 65 minutes.  Bantam and Midget games will consist of three (3) 14-minute stop clock periods, with a curfew of 75 minutes. There will be no ice makes during the games.  There will be a three minute warm-up period before each game.  The curfew will be enforced for all games except semi-finals and championship games. If there is a point differential of 4 or more at any point in the third period, the game clock will run. 

Shoot outs in round robin play are sudden death. When one team scores and the other does not in a given round, the shoot out ends.  If the shoot out is a tie after 5 rounds, the game ends in a tie. If the shoot out is during the play offs or finals, the standard shoot out will be used.

There will not be schedule changes for traveling teams. Teams can make a written request, but no requests are guaranteed. Most games will start Saturday morning. Some adult and Midget games will be played on Friday night. Teams must be ready to play 30 minutes before their scheduled start time. 3 minute warm ups for each game.

Points will be awarded as follows:

3 points for a win

2 points for a win  by shoot out

1 point for a loss by shoot out

1 point for a tie after shoot out

Fights will not be tolerated.

Locker room damage will not tolerated.

USA HOCKEY RULES will be enforced.
